SafeTrack

The problem space for this project was that young women are transitioning into adulthood and have not learned the necessary skills to be safe on their own. They need a way to learn these skills that is both easily attainable and not expensive like self defence classes can be. The solution that followed is SafeTrack.

SafeTrack is a mobile application that is campus specific and is meant to allow young women to have different methods to be safe. It has three main features including an information section where young women can sign up for self defence classes or see quick how to articles. Next is the connect section which allows users to talk with friends or pairings made through the questionnaire; lastly is the safe walk which allows for users to pick the year or program of their walker and get to their destination safely.

Target User

The target audience for this application is young women between the ages of 16-23 which is the most vulnerable age for young women to be struggling to feel safe on their own. Some characteristics of the target audience are:

- On own for the first time
